The Associate Degree Scholarship consists of 9-15 credit hours and is designed for early childhood teachers, directors, and owners seeking an Associates degree, AA, AAS, or AAT, in early childhood education or early childhood special education. Both general education and early childhood courses are included in this scholarship as both are required to attain a degree. Courses for this model will only be approved at a 2-year college in Missouri listed in the College Directory.)
This scholarship model can be maintained for as many years as it takes to earn a degree based on availability of funding through T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI.
The Associate Degree Scholarship model may best suit your needs if you are:
- A teacher, director, assistant, aide, or owner
- Working towards an AA, AAS, or AAT in early childhood at a 2-year college
- Still need your general education courses before working towards your BA at a 4-year college or
- Working on the education hours of a Child Development Credential (CDA) for college credit.
