The Bachelor Degree Scholarship model consists of 9-15 college credits. This model covers early childhood or early childhood special education and general education courses taken at a Missouri 4-year college listed in the College Directory.)
If you only have one semester of student teaching remaining to earn your Bachelor’s degree, then a Student Teaching Scholarship might be a good fit for you. If you only have 1 or 2 semesters of courses until student teaching will begin, then a Pre-Certification Scholarship model might be a good option. Review these options and call or email us if you are uncertain about which to select.
We prefer that you complete all general education courses at a two-year college prior to moving to your early childhood coursework at a four-year college. However, if you prefer to take all your courses at a four-year college, please let your scholarship counselor know. This model of scholarship can be maintained for as many years as it takes to earn a degree based on the availability of funding through T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI.
A Bachelor Degree Scholarship may best suit your needs if you are:
- A teacher, director, assistant, aide, or owner
- Seeking a Bachelor degree in early childhood education and you already have an AA or AAS or all of your general education courses completed or
- You are seeking an introduction to the field of early childhood to supplement a degree in an unrelated field.
